launch of the SM2000 rectifier and MP60-Series system sub-racks, the latest additions to its range
of temperature-hardened, embedded power solutions. The new MP60-Series, with its associated SM2000
rectifier, provides a complete powering solution optimised for Wireless (2G, 2.5G, and 3G BTS)
& Access (MANs) network applications, with higher power, higher density, and compact footprint
at a competitive price.
Three power system solution sub-racks are available, each of which provides a total embedded
solution of power, distribution, protection and control in a 19" sub-rack.
The three systems are,
- MP60, providing up to 6kW
- MP100, providing up to 10kW
- MP160, providing up to 16kW
All the sub-racks feature front mounted display, indicators and controls, rear access
connections, and are less than 400mm deep. The power system sub-racks are designed for ease of
installation and maintenance, and come with pre-configured circuit breaker selections to reduce
installation costs further. The systems can be configured using the front panel display and
controls, or with a personal computer. The systems and the SM2000 rectifier are designed to operate
continuously in harsh temperature conditions from -10°C to 70°C.
With the ability to accept worldwide ac input voltages, from 80Vac to 280Vac, system
designers can standardize on the compact 1U, SM2000 rectifier for all their global applications.
With class leading efficiency, each rectifier provides a constant power output of 2000W from
-10°C to +70°C, with full thermal management. The rectifiers have front-to-back, forced airflow by
means of temperature-dependent, variable-speed fans for extended lifetime and low levels of
acoustic noise.

The new ACM1000, our latest, feature-rich system controller is embedded in the MP60-Series
systems. It has an intuitive, menu-driven LCD that provides access to system configuration,
control, and status.
The controller supports a full suite of battery management features including, battery
recharge current limiting, battery float charging with slope thermal compensation, periodic battery
discharge test with reserve time prediction, battery discharge voltage profile and history, and
battery deep discharge protection. In addition, the controller provides alarm history,
configuration for alarm inputs and alarm output relays, field upgradeable software, front panel
isolated RS232 connector for PC or modem access and many other features.
The systems provide flexible load and battery distribution options. They can support up to
two battery strings via the integrated LVBD and up to twenty three load circuit breakers can be
fitted to support almost any application.
The MP60-Series Power Systems may also be used in non-battery plant applications, and the
SM2000 rectifier can be embedded directly into end-user systems by the use of standard,
off-the-shelf connectors.
The SM2000 and MP60-Series systems are available now; low volume list price starts at €220
for the rectifier, and €1300 for the most popular MP60 (6kW) system equipped with 3 rectifiers.
